1. WHAT IS A COOKIE?

A cookie is a small file containing a string of characters that is sent to your computer when you visit a website. 2. HOW DOES JNE PARTNERS USE COOKIES?

Essential cookies
Essential cookies are cookies that are essential for the operation of the Site. These cookies enable core functions such as security, network management and accessibility. Essential cookies are automatically activated, and you can only disable these cookies by changing your browser settings. This may affect the way the Site works.

Analytics cookies
We use analytics cookies to track your visit to the Site, so that we can understand how many times the Site is visited and how popular certain pages are (i.e. the performance of the Site).

For this we use a third party service called Google Analytics operated by Google.  Google Analytics sets cookies containing ‘tracking IDs’ which are unique numbers that identify you to the Google Analytics servers (which may be based in multiple locations worldwide including the United States of America). Where such transfers take place outside the UK, appropriate safeguards (such as an applicable adequacy decision or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum) are used to protect your information, as further described in our Privacy Notice.

Google Analytics collects analytics data such as which pages you visit, the number of pages you visit, and how long you spend on the Site.  Google Analytics also collects technical information about your web browser, computer and internet connection (“Technical Information”).  Google Analytics does not store your personal information except incidentally in circumstances where your Technical Information is classified as personal information (for example when your IP address can easily be used to reveal your identify – possible in some cases but not others).

Functional cookies
Functional cookies are primarily used to make the use of the Site as pleasant as possible for the user by storing information about the choices you make when browsing the Site. We may require functional cookies for certain functions on the Site, such as playing videos. They do not track your browsing activity on other websites. Without functional cookies, the Site may not work reliably.

3. HOW DO I DISABLE COOKIES?

You can update your cookie preferences at any time by clicking on the cookie icon on the right-hand side of the Site.

In order to provide website visitors with more choice on how data is collected by Google Analytics, Google has developed the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.  The add-on communicates with the Google Analytics code on the Site to stop data being sent to the Google Analytics servers.  The Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on does not affect usage of the Site in any other way.
